Vending service FAQ

What businesses should know before adding fully managed vending.

Clear answers about equipment, stocking, self-checkout, service, revenue share, location fit, and what happens after an assessment.

What is NextShelf?

NextShelf is a Dallas-Fort Worth vending and micro-market operator. We design, install, stock, service, and continuously optimize modern on-site retail programs.

Is NextShelf a vending machine manufacturer or seller?

No. NextShelf operates complete vending programs. We do not sell machines for customers to stock and manage themselves.

What does it cost to get started?

Your business does not buy the vending or micro-market equipment or carry the inventory. NextShelf designs and operates the program, and any location-specific terms are agreed before installation.

What does our staff have to do?

Your team approves the location, provides standard power, and coordinates basic access when needed. NextShelf handles the vending equipment, products, stocking, inventory, payments, service, reporting, and product changes.

Who owns the equipment?

NextShelf provides and operates the vending equipment as part of the managed program. The business receives the service rather than purchasing the cooler.

What does our business need to provide?

A suitable and visible location, a standard electrical outlet, placement approval, and basic access coordination when needed.

What does NextShelf manage?

NextShelf manages the equipment, launch, product selection, inventory, restocking, merchandising, pricing, payments, reporting, maintenance, service, and ongoing product changes.

How do customers buy from the cooler?

They tap a card or phone, open the cooler, take one or several items, and close the door. The system identifies the products removed and charges the customer automatically.

How do you choose between a single- and double-door cooler?

We evaluate the location's traffic, available space, audience, operating hours, and likely product demand before recommending the appropriate format.

What products can be stocked?

The assortment can include drinks, snacks, protein, energy products, meals, and convenience items. The mix is tailored to the location and may vary based on availability, operating requirements, and sponsor or property restrictions.

How often is the cooler restocked?

Stocking is planned around the location's actual sales, available capacity, busy periods, and product demand rather than using one identical schedule for every location.

What happens when the equipment needs service?

NextShelf is responsible for equipment service and maintenance. Your team contacts us when needed, and we coordinate the resolution rather than asking your employees to repair or manage the cooler.

Does every business earn revenue share?

Revenue share is available for qualifying locations. The structure depends on the individual location's traffic, demand, placement, service requirements, and program economics.

Can NextShelf replace our current vending provider?

Potentially. We review the existing equipment, contract situation, traffic, placement, and business goals before recommending a transition.

What makes a location a strong fit?

Strong locations typically have repeat traffic, a visible and secure placement, standard power, consistent operating hours, and people who already purchase food, drinks, protein, or convenience items nearby.

Where does NextShelf operate?

NextShelf serves qualified businesses across Dallas-Fort Worth, including Dallas, Fort Worth, the Mid-Cities, North DFW, and nearby communities.

What happens after I request an assessment?

We review the location type, traffic, service area, current vending setup, and likely placement. The next step may be a walkthrough, a revenue estimate, a request for more information, or a straightforward no-fit answer.
